We shot Haley's tumbling at The Edge in Lynchburg. She asked to get a few with her tumbling coach and I was more than happy to do so. I am pretty sure Mariah has been a big help and influence on Haley's cheer and tumbling! Haley cheers at Rustburg on sideline and competition. I enjoyed the challenge of getting her tumbling. It wasn't easy that's for sure. Poor thing had to make more than a few passes ;) It was good practice, for both of us! Lol!
I got to shoot two volleyball players over the summer and loved both sessions. Not gonna lie it's great to work in the gym. No summer heat, bugs, or sun to worry about. :) I like getting to use the sun on some of my sports sessions but sometimes it's good to have a break.
I couldn't have been happier with Skylar's volleyball portraits. She was a delight to work with and we had fun. We tried all kinds of things! Skylar, you were awesome to photograph and would love to work with you again anytime!
Austin plays Baseball and Basketball. I enjoyed shooting both. I hid behind an L screen for the hitting and pitching ones. I love getting to capture the pitching straight on instead of just to the side. He had to do a lot of layups for me so I could get multiple angles! So he got a little practice during both sessions.
Austin is looking to attend either UVA or VA Tech after high school. He is thinking about being a meteorologist. First person I've known to want to be one. I think we all think we are one! Sounds like a very interesting field of study!! Good luck Austin on your upcoming Senior Basketball and Baseball seasons!!
Baylee is just one of those people that when you meet, you know they are always happy. She smiles a lot and is very warm and bubbly!
We shot her session on her neighbors farm and were able to find plenty of places to shoot. She did a great job of having a variety of outfits for different looks! The blue dress, boots and pearls is my favorite outfit! It popped off the barn wall perfectly and was dressy yet still fun!

I was excited to get a chance to capture Megan in her domain. The softball field! I am pretty sure she has spent hours and hours on the mound throwing. Her dedication has paid off and she will be attending Campbell University and playing for them after she graduates next year.
I had a great time capturing her. We did some in her uniform, sporting her college t-shirt and a very cute, softball appropriate outfit. I love the baseball T and chucks!!!
It took me a few times to press the shutter at just the right time to get her at the top while she was pitching, but I got it and she got in a little practice!
