Gabe - Fall, Urban Senior Portraits - Lynchburg VA Senior Photography

We did a downtown Lynchburg session for Gabe’s senior portraits. His Mom suggested the area around the Academy and I had never shot right around that area before and I am always ready to check out a new spot. We also did some a few streets up around a church. I loved around the academy. The colored walls, black metal stair well, and the glass out front was perfect. Gabe wanted to show off his love for his shoes so I was sure to get those in some. And I can appreciate a love for good tennis shoes! The pair with the blue and red checks he painted himself, and I love how they looked. I wonder if he’d paint me some with purple!

Candace - Beautiful Waterfall and Downtown Senior Portraits - Lynchburg VA Senior Photographer

I am so in love with this session! I love the all the outfits she picked. I loved the look of the grey sweater with the color of the woods then she walked out in that green dress and I jumped for joy! That dress fit her perfectly and was such a beautiful color by the waterfall. She wasn’t competing against the natural colors but stood out anyway! We had an outfit problem on her shoot day and I told her to bring it one day after school and we would shoot that around my studio and I loved it! She kept her face more fresh and natural and with that outfit it worked so well. And it was cold that day!

She is such a natural beauty. Don’t get me wrong… I loved her hair and makeup when we did the waterfall pictures but look at her all fresh faced. Seriously!!!

Carson - Fall, Sunrise Senior Portrait Session - Amherst VA Senior Portraits

Carson had the pleasure of being my second sun rise session this year! He was a trooper! I did catch him yawning though and was sure to put that in his slide show during his ordering session. We did his session at Sweet Briar, which is always beautiful. I love the fog we got on the lake too!

Carson will graduated from Amherst County High School and plans to become a welder as he takes classes for that already! I can’t express how polite of a young man he is and so appreciative! Thank you so much for asking me to capture this time of your life and I wish you all the best after high school!

Andrew - Wooded, Sunset, Mountain Views Senior Portrait Session - Lynchburg VA

You don’t have to travel to some amazing destination to capture GREAT senior portraits. The first part of this session was done in Andrew’s backyard. The woods were cleared out nicely with the sun going down behind for great backlight. The ferns growing along the creek were lovely. And the logs along the wood line created interesting shapes and added a masculine feel! Don’t forget his dog, who had a lot of pep in his step! Seriously… we just walked out his back door! Then we drove 10 minutes up the road to a field. Just a field that had a long view. We were blessed with some burst of amazing color that lasted just a few minutes but long enough to capture before a storm rolled in.

Thanks to Andrew and his parents for trusting me when I said his backyard was perfect and to his father, Jim, (lol! that’s not his name but they will get it) for again helping to create some genuine smiles for his son’s portraits!
